Vygon Signs Three-Year Agreement with Novation to Provide Enteral Feeding Systems and Neonatal Specialty Products
Vygon announced today that it has signed an agreement with Novation, a national healthcare group purchasing organization, for enteral feeding systems and neonatal specialty products. The three-year contract with Novation will go into effect on October 1, 2011 and will continue through September 30, 2014.
Vygon Signs Three-Year Agreement with HealthTrust Purchasing Group to Provide Neonatal Umbilical Catheters and Enteral Feeding Systems
Vygon announced that it has signed an agreement with Tennessee-based HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG), a national healthcare group purchasing organization, for neonatal umbilical catheters and enteral feeding systems. The three-year contract went into effect on July 1, 2011 and will continue through June 30, 2014.

FDA Safety Recommendation Letter
FDA has recently issued a letter to all manufacturers of enteral feeding tubes, healthcare professionals, and hospital purchasing departments stating that they recognize the luer lock misconnections are often under-recognized and as a result, adverse events resulting from such misconnections are likely to be under-reported. FDA is asking healthcare professionals and hospital purchasing departments to “consider the safety of various systems and connections when purchasing new inventory".
